InstructorDoctors was set up in 2006 to offer a personalised, flexible and specialist approach to instructor training as an alternative to the mass market training offered by some national training companies.
Since those early days InstructorDoctors has gone from strength to strength, building up an unrivalled reputation in the West London area whilst still managing to keep to its core values of providing specialist one to one training of the highest quality.
As well as providing the full instructor training courses, InstructorDoctors specialises in ‘rescue training’ for trainees from other organisations who are having trouble passing the qualifying examinations.
InstructorDoctors also works with qualified driving instructors to help them improve their grading for the periodic test of continued ability and fitness to instruct (check test) have helped many instructors achieve the highest grades of 5 or 6.
At present there is no statutory scheme governing the training of driving instructors. However, there is a voluntary scheme called ORDIT - The Official Register of Driving Instructor Training.
Most companies training driving instructors will fall into one of two groups, those who are members of ORDIT and those who are not.
The ORDIT Register is administered by the DSA (Driving Standards Agency), the organisation responsible for the Driving Instructor examinations and the British Driving Test. All companies who are members of ORDIT have to go through a rigorous inspection of their premises and business practises. Each trainer is also assessed by a senior DSA examiner on a regular basis.

Location
InstructorDoctors is based in Uxbridge, Middlesex and is conveniently situated to the West of London close to Heathrow Airport. We cover an area that includes the Driving Test Centres of Hayes, Slough and Pinner. All of these centres carry out Driving Instructor examinations.
We also have a trainer based in High Wycombe who covers the Thames Valley area including Slough, Reading, Amersham and the Chalfonts.
